Since the murder of Trayvon Martin in 2013, the Black lives matter movement has been one of the most talked-about movements within the United States. For years, Black Americans have been one of the most targeted groups of people. We, ALAS, stand with our Black brothers and sisters, and will continue to fight for justice with them. We understand that we can no longer divide ourselves nor let others divide us, but we must work together and unify to build a stronger community.

We want to continue to speak out about the injustices that are happening within our country. As we continue doing this, we will start within our very community, here in Springfield, MO.
